Garcia Benthien Architecture completed the design for an elegant modern apartment sized 130 square meters in Curitiba, Brazil. Especially envisioned for a young couple, the home showcases an interesting layout, enhanced by inspiring furniture elements, materials and textures. A “monolithic” coating seems to wrap the living area, ensuring a predominant white color palette, stylishly contrasted by a wood veneer panel, yellow dining chairs and a small wooden coffee table.
Even though it lets out a feeling of continuity, the open plan living area is composed of several functionally different areas, such as the TV&living zone, reading corner and dining space. Lighting spots on the ceiling (and above the curtains) enhance the overall modern atmosphere. Conforming to the rule “simplicity is bliss”, the bedroom was designed in a minimalist fashion, while respecting the overall color palette and design of the apartment. Can you tell us what elements you enjoy and/or dislike about this apartment?
