Architectural company Inarc Architects completed the design for Bellarine Peninsula House, a contemporary residence located in Barwon Heads, Australia. The architects briefly describe the project as a "single level home with double height central living area and separated sleeping wings for parents and children. Dual courtyards on either side of living area offer controlled landscape views. A seaside palette of gray rough sawn timber, dark bronze and aging cement soften the seaside experience". The contrasting array of materials contribute to an overall sober exterior, dimmed only by the generous windows, which allow a sneak peek towards the minimalist interiors. An open plan living and dining area acts as the core of the residence; white textured walls separate the functional spaces and add personality to an otherwise rigid space. Bellarine Peninsula House also accommodates a garage, a generous cellar, laundry room, three bedrooms, a gaming area, a swimming pool and a reflecting pond. How do you appreciate the overall design of this home? Find it welcoming?
